Not knowing how, but still doing. Art makes me free
Origami demands patience and carefulness. The first time I saw it, impatience rose inside me. A swan, a dog, a bowl, a star, and something I couldn’t name, I might never have the patience for it.
Years later, a Japanese artist and his wife stayed in my flat in Iceland. A few weeks later, they sent a gift: a book on origami and colorful paper. Beautiful and funny, given my earlier impatience. One snowy day, I crumpled a piece of floral paper into what I call an origami snowball.
