Glass marbles 1994

Living Arts Museum Reykjavík.

I carry 900 glass marbles under a top hat I have on my head in the beginning of the performance. When I lift the hat, the marbles fall to the floor with a corresponding sound.
In the pockets of my jacket, I carry safety goggles, a hammer and leather glows. Dressed like a hitwoman, I break all the glass marbles with the hammer.

I wanted to create something beautiful by destroying something. What remained was a shimmering glass sand.
