Journey, Reykjavík’s Art Festival, Egilsstaðir East Iceland.
1001 black stones, each set with crystal beads 23,250 in total, are scattered irregularly across a 250 m² floor. The space is dark; visitors are given a flashlight but must enter at their own risk.
As they move slowly through the vast room, the stones glitter and glow like a diamond cave, evoking both wonder and unease. The work reflects nature’s magic and force, its cycles of destruction and renewal transforming the environment into a site of enchantment and confrontation.
